Opening Blocks
Blocks: wooden towers on a quiet table
Six wooden builds on a linen table: a plank tower, a tall stack, a 128-domino spiral, a stepped pyramid, a castle and a little town. Real physics keeps them standing until you touch them.
How to play
- Push: swipe through the blocks, or tap to poke one. One tap starts the dominoes.
- Grab: drag a block and let go to throw it.
- Ball: tap to throw a heavy walnut ball, or swipe to roll one.
- Shake slides the table; Rebuild flies every block back home.
- Two fingers or the arrow keys turn the view; pinch or scroll to zoom.
Questions
- Why do the towers stay perfectly still?
- Each build starts at rest in exact contact, the way a real tower stands, so nothing wobbles until a push, a ball or a shake wakes it up.
- Is Blocks free?
- Yes. Blocks is free to play in your browser, with no ads, no sign-up and nothing to buy.
- Does Blocks work on a phone?
- Yes. It works with touch on phones and tablets and with a mouse or trackpad on a computer, in any recent browser with WebGL 2.
