Opening Zen Bells
Zen Bells: singing stones on a still pond
Smooth stones rest on a quiet pond. Each one rings a soft, bell-like tone when you touch it, and the notes come from gentle scales with no clashing steps, so any sweep becomes a little melody.
How to play
- Tap a stone to ring it.
- Sweep a finger across the stones to play them all.
- Move the stones to rearrange the pond.
- Choose Dawn, Dusk or Night, each with its own scale.
- Use the speaker button to mute or unmute.
Questions
- Can I play a tune?
- Yes. The stones are tuned to a pentatonic-style scale, low to high, so sweeping or tapping in any order sounds calm. On a keyboard, the number keys ring the stones too.
